Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 February 2026
These terms govern your use of PromptDeploy ("the Service"), operated by PromptDeploy ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
PromptDeploy provides a web-based editor that lets teams edit AI prompt files stored in GitHub repositories, without giving non-technical users direct access to the codebase. The Service integrates with GitHub via the official GitHub App framework.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Organisation administrators are responsible for managing team members and their access levels. When you invite someone to your organisation, you are granting them the permissions associated with their assigned role.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code
- Exceed reasonable usage limits or abuse the API
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Your content
You own your content. Prompt files, repository content, and any other data you create or manage through the Service remain your property. We do not claim any ownership or licence over your content beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.
As described in our Privacy Policy, prompt content flows directly between GitHub and your browser. We do not store, cache, or log your prompt text on our servers.
5. GitHub integration
The Service requires installation of the PromptDeploy GitHub App on your repositories. By installing the App, you authorise us to:
- Read the contents of files you designate as editable prompts
- Create commits and pull requests on your behalf
- Access repository metadata (name, branches, collaborators)
We will not access files or repositories beyond what you have explicitly configured. You can revoke the App's access at any time through your GitHub settings.
6. Plans and billing
The Service offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are displayed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice.
Seats. Paid plans include a set number of seats. A seat is consumed by each member of your organisation (admins, developers, and editors). If you exceed your plan's seat limit, you will need to upgrade or remove members.
Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service depends on third-party providers (GitHub, Stripe, hosting infrastructure) that are outside our control.
We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice where possible.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PromptDeploy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any changes made to prompt files through the Service
- Unauthorised access to your account
- Any third-party conduct or content
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PromptDeploy from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, and documentation, is owned by PromptDeploy and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with notice where reasonably practicable.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
